Your organization has won its first OpenRoads Project! Congratulations! What now?
Or: you have new staff but you're too busy to help them. What now?
You can wing it or you can onboard onto OpenRoads quickly and "safely" (remember the risk).
You can burn hours figuring out where to start only to go in the wrong direction.
Whether you're an individual a group or a Department of Transportation, I can help get you productive quickly.
Onboarding is a science, not a guess.

New to Bentley?
You can take the traditional "Everybody Gets One Week of MicroStation Training followed by One Week of OpenRoads Training then Good Luck!" route. I don't recommended it.
That method is optimized for companies that making money by putting books and trainers on-site. It does "get the ball rolling" once the classes occur. But it's an event, not a process.
If you have a team, they likely will have different roles, aptitudes, and responsibilities. Shouldn't their learning be tailored for that?
Here's one tip: you don't need to learn MicroStation to learn OpenRoads. You can learn the MicroStation you need to do engineering by learning OpenRoads. If you're an engineer, you can skip that week of MicroStation Training.
Start with the Bentley OpenRoads "Navigating the Interface" course. I wrote it specifically to introduce the CAD pre-requisites that would allow new users to take the OpenRoads training. In less time than it would take to figure out which MicroStation two-hour courses to take, You're ready for the "Introducing OpenRoads Geometry" course (or whatever discipline-specific course follows.
Note: "plain graphics" tasks (detail sheets, etc.) still benefit from traditional MicroStation Training, but designers don't need to start with that.

New to OpenRoads?
Help me hook you up quickly by including the following information:
How large is your onboarding group?
Are you able/willing to use instantly-available OnDemand training (learn.bentley.com)?
Do you want live on-line or in-person training? This has value, particularly for larger groups. Why Live Training?
Are other (accessbile) parts of your organization experienced in OpenRoads? In InRoads or GEOPAK? MicroStation? AutoCAD? Civil3D?
Does your client have a workspace published for your use? (If so, yay! If not, doah! (you can get there, but the best scenario is using your client's workspace)
What's the scope and scale of the project?
A New Discipline or Type of Project in OpenRoads
Are you familiar with some of OpenRoads and are looking to branch out to new scopes (and new clients?)
This differs from onboarding, as the starting point is more varied than the starting for Onboarders. Known as (skills) Adoption it's rather poorly addressed in the Bentley ecosystem - largely because the few published Adoption Paths starting points and directions likely differ greatly from your needs.
There is no rule that you have to burn money trial-and-erroring your way through that process. XLr8 it!
Let me know what your competency scope is and where you want to go. I can recommend training marterial where it's available and fill in the gaps where it's not.
