I started my career in 1989 in rainy Central Florida (7.4 in/hr) designing site grading and drainage, using AutCAD/DCA and a spreadsheet (initially Lotus 1-2-3).
Soon I was helping Intergraph add surcharged piping calculations to InFlow as Water Resources Engineering Certification and Support Lead (we had no HEC-22 back then).
I led the City of San Diego's Intergraph Civil Software implementation, training development, training, and support for five years, with an emphasis on InSewer and Storm&Sanitary.
I authored Mastering Storm&Sanitary and Exploring InRoads and Building InRoads and trained the product throughout the country (and Venezuela!).
Production work included CalTrans direct access ramp projects and interchange drainage studies and an OpenRoads Mega Project in Texas.
At Bentley I authored and taught numerous Road, Site and Drainage courses and consulted with numerous DOT hydraulic lead teams on how to implement ORD Drainage and Utilities.
